Man United agree £40million fee as club close to making their third major signing: report

Manchester United Football Club have agreed a £40million fee with Inter Milan to sign Croatia winger, Ivan Perisic. That’s according to The Sun, who says that the 28-year-old is going to become Jose Mourinho’s third major signing, behind the additions of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.

The Serie A side have stood firm on their valuation of the left-winger, but the aforementioned report claims that a deal is close to completion. It certainly seems as though things are progressing nicely regarding Inter’s search for a replacement, as apparently, they are set to seal a move for Keita Balde.

In my opinion, it always looked as though the Red Devils were going to try their hardest to lure in Perisic, and when the news broke that he had left Milan’s training camp with apparent toothache, you just knew something was going on behind the scenes.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger will bring us that extra dimension out wide, and I’m looking forward to watching him in action. He’s more of an old-fashioned wide player, who enjoys hugging the touchline and whips in ferocious crosses rather than cutting inside and taking a shot on goal.

He’ll also excite the fans with the brilliant tricks he has in his arsenal, and I’ve no doubt that he’ll be fun to watch. It now seems a matter of when rather than if.
