Manchester United signed Bruno Fernandes in January, which is looking like an absolute masterstroke from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, by my reckoning, United are still one midfielder light. Well, it seems as though the club are at least doing their due diligence and eyeing up some potential options. Enter, Adrien Rabiot…
According to a story from TuttoMercatoWeb on May 1st, United are ‘among the strongest suitors’ to sign the classy 25-year-old – with Juventus ready to cash in and show the Frenchman the exit door after just one season in Turin.
Rabiot was linked with an Old Trafford move last summer when he was available on a free transfer, though in the end, the Bosman kings Juve won the race.
However, it hasn’t really worked out for the former Paris Saint-Germain stay over in Italy, with Juve now wanting to profit on Rabiot.
United aren’t the only club involved, though you can bet they’re probably the side who can offer Rabiot the biggest pay-day if that’s what he’s after.
He’s a gifted young man who would bring a different dimension to this midfield, though I’d urge United to proceed with caution. There is a reason why two sides like Juve and PSG are prepared to move on from him. At this time, the worst thing the Red Devils could do is make a signing for signing’s sake and upset the applecart.
Sure, test the waters, but make sure you’re 100% sold on Rabiot before making a move.
