Man United ‘best-placed’ for Ferran Torres transfer, have already made first moves: report

Manchester United’s move for Jadon Sancho has been well-documented. However, it seems as though the Red Devils are putting a back-up plan in place; which obviously seems pretty smart…

The story comes from Marca’s Monday print edition, translated excellently by the guys over at Sport Witness. They are linking Manchester United with a potential transfer for Valencia CF winger, Ferran Torres.

According to their report, United are ‘best-placed’ to sign the 20-year-old attacker, while moves have already been made by the Old Trafford outfit.

United won’t have it all their own way, though, with competition from huge sides like Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona also mentioned…

This is the second time in just over a week where United have been linked with Torres, which leads me to believe there is some truth to the rumours. The last story we covered came back on April 7th from Goal, in which it was claimed that United had enquired.

Torres isn’t a player I know an awful lot about, though he’s obviously an extremely talented young man. I’d imagine that the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will have the best chance at signing the young Spaniard. After all, stars moving abroad is pretty rare…
