Manchester United are considering making two more signings this transfer window, according to the Manchester Evening News. Apparently, the Red Devils will make another offer for Ivan Perisic, whilst also adding that the manager is opening to signing a left-sided defender.
So far, Jose Mourinho has secured deals for Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic; all of whom will no doubt turn out to be fantastic players for this club.
However, the fact that the gaffer believes he still needs two more players just shows how much work our actual squad needs to compete at the highest level.
I think that a left-sided attacker is a must. Although Perisic has been named by the aforementioned article, we just need a left-winger who’ll hug the touchline and whip crosses into the box.
The left-back scenario is an interesting one. Luke Shaw is obviously a massively talented young man, but the fact that he cannot keep himself fit is becoming a real worry to me personally. The press has linked us with a move for Danny Rose over the last week or so, and honestly, I don’t think he’d be much of an upgrade.
With time in the transfer window rapidly running out, Edward Woodward will have to move quickly.
