Manchester United Football Club will take on CSKA Moscow without the services of Marouane Fellaini, according to The Independent. The Belgian was subjected of a horrific tackle from Shane Long, and that’s left the 6’5 midfielder with an ankle injury.
As you’d imagine, Jose Mourinho is apparently furious at the situation and you can totally understand why. Long got away with only a yellow card and it could have been a whole lot worse. Heck, we don’t know how serious the issue is yet, and it could leave us unbelievably thin in a key area of the field.
Of course, Fellaini joins Paul Pogba out on the sidelines and the issue couldn’t really have come at a worse time as the games start coming thick and fast due to participation in multiple competitions.
Fellaini has become a real integral part of our squad at the start of this season, and he’s popped up with some absolutely crucial goals and all-round play during some big moments.
Without him, Mourinho will feel that our task has been made a whole lot harder in Moscow. We’re losing a tall, physically dominant player who could have gone out to Russia and done a real job on the opponents midfield. Now, the gaffer will have to look elsewhere.
