Manchester United Football Club have been dealt a summer transfer blow according to The Sun per The Metro, with Paulo Dybala set to pen a new five-year deal at Juventus.
Reports last month suggested that Jose Mourinho was keen on adding the supremely gifted attacker to his Red Devils squad, but obviously, that’ll be extremely unlikely if this new contract for Dybala becomes official.
The 24-year-old started the current campaign in scintillating style, and although he’s dropped off the pace somewhat, top European clubs are still interested in adding Dybala to their team.
In terms of style, I liken him very much to his Argentina teammate Lionel Messi. Dybala is two-footed, quick, an excellent dribbler and deadly finisher. It should come as no surprise that Juve want to tie him down for the long-term because he genuinely could go on to become one of the best players in the world.
For United, though, I still feel there are more pressing matters. Mourinho has an abundance of attacking talent at his disposal, whereas both the midfield and defence have struggled massively recently. I’d like to see those areas heavily invested in first.
