Man United drop hint that 17-year-old will be in FA Cup squad vs Wolves

Manchester United will be hurting from their first meaningful loss under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last time out. The Red Devils will be looking to right those wrongs.

Next up, a trip to Wolves to take on an in-form side managed excellently by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Over the last two games, Mason Greenwood has made both his Champions League and Premier League debut. Now, judging by the latest U19s team news, it looks as though the 17-year-old could well be in the squad for his first FA Cup match…

Greenwood missed out on the squad that were beaten by FC Midtjylland earlier today, but all eyes for him will be on making an impact should Solskjaer need him.

The youngster has been by far and away United’s most talented up-and-comer this term, and it’s fitting that despite senior players returning from injury – he is the one who has remained within the squad.

Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and James Garner were all back in with the U19s, which leads me to believe that Greenwood is the one that Solskjaer has the most trust in – which certainly makes sense.
