It was only a matter of time before Manchester United were linked with potential new managers, let’s be honest.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hasn’t helped himself with recent form, moreover, the performances have been terrible.
Anyway today, the Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has been ‘earmarked’ as a future Reds manager, with United already laying down the groundwork on the one they call the ‘Baby Mourinho’.
After doing some stellar work at Hoffenheim from the age of just 27, Nagelsmann is already on his second club with Leipzig currently sitting fifth in the table.
There’s no doubt that talented German is ever-improving as a manager and perhaps it’d be good for United to try something different. Though he will need time to implement his ideas and tactics – which is something this club hasn’t given managers over the last half-decade.
For Solskjaer, the pressure is on. Picking up points in the Premier League isn’t an easy thing to do and it doesn’t get any easier with United’s next game being Liverpool at home. According to the Mail, with a heavy defeat, the Baby Faced Assassin does fear for his job at the Theatre of Dreams.
Personally, I think it’s still too early to pull the trigger, but stranger things have certainly happened in football…
