Manchester United Football Club have enquired about the possibility of signing Chelsea star Willian, according to the Daily Mail.
Jose Mourinho apparently wants to move early to try and sign the Brazilian winger, who is growing increasingly frustrated at a lack of opportunities given to him by Antonio Conte.
However, the London club are reluctant to let Willian, nor anyone else for that matter, leave in January. In fact, they’d prefer to add players to the squad rather than sell.
I’ve always maintained the fact that the mid-season transfer window is notoriously tough to bring players in, even more so when you’re trying to buy from a direct rival.
With that said, the Red Devils will be desperate for a new winger. The right-hand side has been hit and miss this season, but while Henrikh Mkhitaryan hasn’t been playing, nobody has managed to lock that spot down.
The 29-year-old Willian is the perfect Mourinho player, and the pair have already previously worked together at Stamford Bridge, with the player knowing exactly what would be required from him if he made the move to the Theatre of Dreams.
