Manchester United Football Club are apparently eyeing a world record bid for Kylian Mbappe.
That’s according to Don Balon in Spain, per the Manchester Evening News. Apparently, Jose Mourinho badly wants to make the 19-year-old a Red Devil, so-much-so, he’d even be willing to let Paul Pogba leave during this summer, to ensure a deal would happen.
Apparently, United would pay a staggering £300million to sign Mbappe, with FC Barcelona keen on Pogba in a deal worth in excess of £150million.
My first thought here is that the money in football is crazy, I mean, there has been a huge influx in transfer fee prices recently, and paying £300million for a teenager is just insane.
With that said, having Mbappe at the Theatre of Dreams would just be absolutely sublime. We’re talking about the biggest talent in the game right now, on the back of an outstanding World Cup.
He is a player that gets people off their seats, and the buzz he’d create within Manchester would be next level. Personally, though, I’d love to see him partner up with Pogba; rather than having to sell the midfielder to get him. The pair were brilliant together for France, so why not replicate that at club level?
