Man United facing UEFA punishment following Valencia CF game on Tuesday

Manchester United Football Club have been ice cold on the pitch, but the Red Devils could well find themselves in hot water with UEFA off it…

Jose Mourinho’s men asked kick-off to be delayed following their late arrival to Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Now, Sky Sports News have confirmed that UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the club.

I mean, it just perfectly sums up what is happening at United right now. If Valencia, who have flown two hours on a plane managed to get there on time, while United, who play there at least every other week, are travelling a couple of miles down the road and can’t make it, we have some serious issues.

The club just isn’t in a good place right now. It’ll no doubt be a hefty fine heading United’s way following the delay, and you honestly can’t really argue against it.

I’d also love to say United turning up late was why they played so poorly, but unfortunately, abysmal displays like the one we witnessed last night have now become the norm rather than the exception to the rule.

Hopefully, the lads buck their ideas up and we can head into the international break with a victory on Saturday afternoon.
