Manchester United will be without Marouane Fellaini for their game against Liverpool this weekend. The Belgium international picked up the injury in a meaningless international match after his nation had already secured qualification.
Fellaini, 29, was hauled off in the first half of Belgium’s game against Bosnia with the knock, when it emerged that the 6’5 midfielder had been carrying some sort of minor issue in the build-up to the game; in fact, it ruled him out of United’s game against CSKA Moscow just over a week prior.
Now the former Everton man will miss around two weeks of football, presumably joining Paul Pogba on the sidelines for what looks like a tough schedule on paper.
Jose Mourinho must be absolutely furious. Martinez took a chance with Fellaini that he simply didn’t need to do and now the Red Devils are a player light in a key area of the field.
As you’d imagine, the fans weren’t best pleased either. We’ve compiled some of their best Twitter reactions to the news below. Trust me when I say it hasn’t gone down well…

Fellaini comes off and Belgium concede. Coincidence ? I think not

Swear Fellaini is one of the quickest players around to recover from injury… Except when he "injured" his wrist before his Napoli move….
