Ever since Luke Shaw’s arrival at Manchester United, the left-back has been touted as something special.
After an excellent start, things have slowly gone downhill for the ex-Southampton man – and it finally seems as though the majority of Red Devils fans have lost faith in the now 22-year-old.
Of course, injuries have played a massive role in why he’s struggled so much, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been poor the majority of the time he takes to the field.
I always thought we’d found our left-back for the next ten years in Shaw, but, his display for United’s U23s during their 4-2 loss to West Ham’s U23s was the final straw for many:

Luke shaw is finished at Utd. The boy is wasting his talent. Bin him off one and for all. Can't even produce for u23s.

The left-back has only played once for the first-team this season; a substitute appearance against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup. Since that game, though, he has been nowhere to be seen. Hence why he played for the U23s, in order to keep up his match sharpness.
In a game at this level, you’d expect Shaw to dominate, whilst sending out a strong message to the manager; telling him that u23 football is a level below him. In fact, he did the opposite and was one of the worst players on the pitch. He looked sluggish, poor defensively and positionally, he was nothing short of appalling. A night to forget for the left-back…
