Manchester United Football Club dropped their first Premier League points of the season this weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men drawing 2-2 away at Stoke City. The Red Devils came from behind, then took the lead in a topsy-turvy match full of defensive errors. The most costly mistake came from Phil Jones, allowing The Potters to level things in the second half.
The England international had made a stunning start to the season, but it was a real jolt back down to reality for the 25-year-old centre-back. It just looked as though he was bullied throughout the game, and the poor start he made seemed to knock his confidence for the remainder of the match.
When he fell down from the corner, you just knew Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was going to score, and of course, all the blame (rightfully) was aimed in Jones’ direction.
We’ve compiled some tweets that won’t make happy reading for the former Blackburn Rovers man, but that’s football and now he has to pick himself up and get ready for United’s next league game at the weekend.

Jones makes one mistake and out come the self righteous claiming they always knew he was a fraud. UNbelievable.
