Seven wins from seven is impressive for any manager in a new environment. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves ridiculous praise for the work he is doing, both on and off the field.
Yesterday’s 2-1 victory at home to Brighton wasn’t as swashbuckling and brilliant as it has been recently. Instead, the players had to dig deep and work for everything. The one player who epitomises that more than any other is Ander Herrera.
The Basque-born midfielder worked his socks off for 90 minutes straight. He didn’t give Brighton’s midfielders a moments rest when they were in possession and it was wonderful to see him back to his best.
He was also a threat when on the ball himself. More often than not, the former Athletic Club man picked the right ball or made the correct run and got his team moving in a positive direction.
Many forget that just a couple of seasons ago, Herrera won the Player of the Year award at United – which just goes to show how useful he has been since arriving at Old Trafford.
Herrera has always been a fan favourite, that’ll never change. As you’d imagine, the Red Devils supporters were full of praise for their idol on social media following the win…
