Manchester United Football Club could well be in the market for yet another new manager in the not too distant future…
The Red Devils’ on-field fortunes haven’t changed for the better under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far, despite all his good work in the transfer market.
Anyway, earlier today we covered a story from the Daily Mail in which it was claimed that RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has been earmarked as a potential future United manager.
The youngster started his managerial career aged just 27, now he’s flying high, moving Leipzig up the table.
At this stage, some people would take literally anyone if it meant change. I’m definitely in that boat, and though Nagelsmann isn’t a manager I’ve watched an awful lot of, you only have to look at the stats to see that he has been a positive influence in his two top-flight jobs so far.
As you’d imagine, United fans reacted in their droves to the prospect of the 32-year-old becoming Reds manager at some point. Most were rather excited at the thought, though some believe he’s (somewhat typically) Bayern Munich bound in the not too distant future.
I would like to stress that in no way does the above article state that Solskjaer is losing his job, just that Nagelsmann could be a potential replacement in the long-term…
