Man United fans react to Marcus Rashford display vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United fans were brought back down to reality this weekend, when Crystal Palace came to Old Trafford and shocked us all by winning 2-1.

The game itself was a largely one-sided affair but the chance creation from the Red Devils was practically non-existent. Again, the problem reared its ugly head despite near domination.

Marcus Rashford had a huge chance from the penalty spot to make the game 1-1 but after Paul Pogba’s penalty miss and the fall-out during the week, it always looked like Rashford was going to follow suit and fluff the spot-kick.

His overall game wasn’t that impressive, either. Aside from a few speedy runs in behind, Rashford was largely a non-factor. If the young man wants to lead this team, we’re going to need more from him if he isn’t hitting the back of the net.

As you’d imagine, the United fans aren’t happy with the 21-year-old after the bad display. They took to Twitter in their droves to express their unhappiness.

It really was a day to forget from Rashford, though I’m not sure taking the #10 jersey away from him is the right idea. He needs to be injected with confidence, not having it taken away from him. Just look what happened to Anthony Martial when he lost the #9.
