Manchester United Football Club continued their pre-season tour with a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid – with winning on penalties. The game as a whole was an entertaining affair, with Jose Mourinho getting to have a look at his players against the best club side in football at the moment.
During the game we got to see another 45 minutes of Victor Lindelof, who has had a mixed tour so far. Today, the ‘Iceman’ wasn’t great, and a poor performance was capped off with a dismal penalty miss in the shootout.
Positionally, he didn’t look all that aware, and the tackle he made to concede the penalty which let Real Madrid back in the game was just awful. However, moving to a new country and working with new teammates can sometimes take some getting used to – just look at Patrice Evra’s first few games as a Red Devil.
At the end of the day, it’s only pre-season tour and the results aren’t all that important. Hopefully, Lindelof is getting all these mistakes out of his system before the serious stuff starts in a few weeks time. As you’d imagine, Twitter wasn’t best pleased with the display from the 23-year-old.

Have to say, can see Lindelof starting the first Premier League game as a sub. He hasn't covered himself in glory thus far.

I can see the training with Smalling & Jones has already rubbed off on Lindelof .

Forget the Lindelof mistake, he's had 3-4 very solid appearances, that wasn't a major scare. It's the no shots on goal which is worrying.

I seem to remember Vidic and Evra and even Pallister making a few howlers in their early days…they all did ok…let's give Lindelof time

Lindelof lad you gotta sort out your timing. Might work in benfica but in the EPL they'll give you red cards like its valentines day
