Manchester United continued their good form with an excellent 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion last night, making it fifteen games in a row without defeat.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves credit for the work he’s doing on the training field, while morale in the camp feels as high as it has been since Sir Alex Ferguson decided to walk away from the game.
This club is built upon giving youth a chance. You look at Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Brandon Williams all flourishing. Last night, it was Mason Greenwood’s time to shine.
The 18-year-old scored a sublime goal to set United on their way, before claiming an excellent assist during the best counter-attacking team-move we’ve seen the Red Devils execute in years. It really was stunning to watch.
Greenwood is playing at a supremely high level and the scary thing is he’s still so young. As he gets more minutes under the belt you’d imagine he’ll only improve – and it definitely looks like he’s been hitting the weight room during lockdown, which is also making a massive difference to his success.
Right now, he’s becoming undroppable. In games where teams sit back, Greenwood is definitely the better option over someone like Daniel James and the proof is in the pudding with the outstanding results being churned out at this point in time.
Anyway, enough of my waffle. I’ll leave you with the best Twitter responses as United fans express their delight with the young attacker’s quality display vs Brighton:
