Man United get massive injury boost, star available to play against Everton

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho met the media yesterday, and confirmed that Luke Shaw is indeed available for selection again, as per the Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old hasn’t played a minute of senior football since April, when he suffered ankle ligament damage. Now, after a couple of games for Manchester United’s U23s side, the England international is once again ready to be picked.

Shaw has spent the last several months working on his rehabilitation, and to have him back and ready to go is a huge boost, particularly due to the fact that the left-back spot has been somewhat problematic recently.

Both Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have played out there, but neither possess the speed or the attacking quality to fulfil the role in its entity.

Having Shaw back in contention for the Everton game is huge, but I highly doubt Mourinho throws him into such an important game, particularly after spending so long out on the sidelines with an injury.

I think it’s a case of easing him back into things and not rushing it, because Shaw is by far and away our most talented left-sided defender. Now, it’s time for him to prove it.
