Manchester United have been sweating on the fitness of several key players this week, as Jose Mourinho has had a mini injury-crisis on his hands before a huge game away at Liverpool.
However, the return of some Red Devils superstars couldn’t have been more timely, with the Manchester Evening News suggesting that four United men could be in line for a return from injury.
Let’s start with Anthony Martial, who has missed the last few games after hobbling off with an injury picked up against Arsenal. It seems as though he has battled through as the Frenchman is indeed with the squad.
Next, we have Luke Shaw. The left-back has been playing brilliantly this term, and to have him back in the team is a massive lift for a defence that has been struggling.
Thirdly, Diogo Dalot is back and raring to go after missing United’s midweek clash with Valencia with an unknown problem. Thankfully, he hasn’t been out of action for too long so he should have no issue playing tomorrow.
Then you have Chris Smalling, who has recently put pen to paper on a new long-term deal, that I firmly believe he deserves.
If two or three of these guys are fit enough to start, that’d be so vital for Mourinho and his men, and it makes our chances at bringing home a positive result much more likely.
