At this point in time, Manchester United need all the help they can get. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were beaten, and beaten well by West Ham at the weekend. There are no doubt injuries played their part.
Well, it seems as though the 20-time Premier League champions are set to get a welcome boost. The manager met the media today ahead of United’s clash against Rochdale tomorrow, with Solskjaer confirming that Pogba will ‘probably’ get some minutes, but the Frenchman will ‘definitely’ be ready to take on Arsenal.
This is a key injury boost for United, with the 26-year-old now seemingly fit and raring to go ahead of some huge games for the Old Trafford outfit.
“He’ll probably get some minutes against Rochdale,” Solskjaer said, per ManUtd.com. “But we definitely think he’s ready for Arsenal.”
Say what you want about Pogba (I’m not his biggest fan), but this United team needs him and his creativity. Without him involved, there’s nothing at all coming from the midfield and that’s the price you pay when you choose not to sign a central midfielder…
Is it worth risking Pogba tomorrow against Rochdale? Probably not, but if he needs some minutes under the belt then Ole’s hand may be forced. We’re desperate for him to be involved against Arsenal, though. He’s a key figure in that dressing room and even more important out on the field.
