Manchester United Football Club have been in dire straits this season. It says a lot that, in two home Champions League games, the Red Devils have been struggling to make it to Old Trafford on time…
Yes, that’s despite the fact that their hotel is less than half-a-mile away from the stadium. During the last European night, it actually led to Jose Mourinho hopping off the bus and running to the ground.
Now, it looks as though the manager wants to avoid a repeat-situation, as in an exclusive by The Sun, they claim that United are considering approaching Gary Neville about potentially using Hotel Football as their new pre-match base – as the stadium is practically a stones-throw away from the Theatre of Dreams.
I mean, wasn’t this obvious? United should have been using Hotel Football ever since it opened. It’d save so much time, heck, the players can walk to the ground and be in their changing room within a few minutes maximum.
Travel for European home matches has been a massive issue, but it does say an awful lot about the club that they cannot think to leave a bit earlier to ensure they get to the stadium in ample time. Heck, if our opponents, who have travelled from Spain and Italy respectively, can get there, why can’t we?
