Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United have forged themselves a familiar identity.
The Baby Faced Assassin is trying to build a young squad full of players who have points to prove – rather than spending big and taking chances.
Well, it seems as though the Red Devils have identified another possible target. The story comes from talkSPORT, who cites a report from Calciomercato.
They say that United are ‘keeping tabs’ on Brescia teenager, Sandro Tonali. Apparently, the Old Trafford outfit are interested in signing the talented Italian – who is regarded as one of the best talents in football.
Furthermore, United have been scouting the talented 19-year-old all season, with the Reds watching every game he has played this term.
United will face extremely tough competition for his signature, though, with Borussia Dortmund also keen on acquiring the midfielder – who has been likened to Andrea Pirlo due to his playing style.
Despite being only 19, Tonali has experience aplenty under his belt already, featuring in 34 league games last term. No doubt that experience will benefit his career in the long run, but if United do manage to acquire him, they’ll have to continue to offer regular first-team football.
However, it’ll be tough to sign him, particularly if we don’t have Champions League football on the table.
