Man United have no intention of selling 22-year-old, unless he forces move away: report

Manchester United have no intention of selling 22-year-old superstar Anthony Martial this summer.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who also add that Martial remains a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans. If he wants to leave, the Frenchman will have to hand in a transfer request; which hasn’t happened at this point.

Understandably, Martial has probably been immensely frustrated after a lack of playing time following Alexis Sanchez’s arrival. He would’ve been seriously considering his position at Old Trafford, but it looks as though United want to keep ahold of their man.

The issue comes because the Red Devils have three left-wingers, including the aforementioned duo and Alexis Sanchez. Three top-class players all vying for one position is always going to be a struggle.

It would be a huge shame to see Martial leave, but it now looks as though the ball is firmly in his court. If he wants to stay and fight out for his position then the club have no issue with that.

However, if he does want to leave he’s going to have to do it the hard way. Honestly though, I personally think he’ll stick it out for at least one more season.
