Man United offer contract to Largie Ramazani, player released due to excessive wage demands: report

It’s about that time of year when club’s release those players who simply aren’t going to cut it. Yesterday, the Red Devils confirmed that nine faces had been let go – including the likes of Demetri Mitchell, Dion McGhee and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

Also amongst the guys who have left Manchester United was Largie Ramazani – though it wasn’t for the want of trying…

Ramazani made his full Reds debut in a Europa League game before the turn of the year, with big things expected of the young forward.

However, he has since been let go by the Old Trafford outfit, with the Manchester Evening News confirming that the talented 19-year-old has been released by United.

There was a contract offered by United, though the club felt that his demands were ‘excessive’ and thus, no agreement was reached. It’s now expected that Ramazani will join a second-division club in Spain…

He’s obviously a supremely gifted young man, though if he’s asking for too much money given his club standing, it makes sense to let him walk. Sure, he’s a gifted young man and fair play, he may get regular playing time over in Spain.

However, there’s a reason United are letting him go while busting a gut to try and keep Angel Gomes here… If the Reds thought he was ready, you can bet they’d be offering Ramazani more money…
