Well, after much speculation, the new Manchester United third kit is here…
After David Beckham seemingly leaked the new jersey on his social media last night, United have officially announced the third-strip they’ll wear for the 2020/21 term.
Indeed, the gossip is true. Manchester United will wear the ‘zebra’ top for the upcoming term, and it’s certainly a bold choice by Adidas.
The top is predominantly white, with the traditional Adidas ‘Three Stripe’ across the shoulders. There are black patterned lines throughout, while the United badge and Adidas logo is a red mesh.
As per usual, the Chevrolet logo is on the front, while the Kohler badge remains on the arm. Again, I’ll reiterate any kit would look better without these, but I understand that both bring plenty of resources into the club – allowing us to buy players like Donny van de Beek.
Anyway, United revealed the kit via their social media earlier this morning, so take a look below…

Personally, I’m not a fan. I’ve said it before, but I much prefer the basic kits. Sometimes, less is more and in this case, I certainly feel that this is way over the top.
I get that some fans will absolutely love this because it’s different, but it’s just not for me.
The word on the street is that this top will be accompanied with United’s traditional white shorts, with the ‘Three stripe’ down the leg. Again, personally, I think it’d look better with plain black shorts and socks.
Who knows, perhaps this top will surprise us when we see it in action in the coming weeks but right now, I’m just not convinced.
It’s certainly one I won’t be buying, though I’m not really keen on any of the kits for the upcoming campaign…
