Man United owners’ stance on Jose Mourinho keeping his job confirmed: report

Manchester United Football Club are in a rut right now. Jose Mourinho cannot buy a win for love nor money.

That has led to sections of the United fanbase asking for the self-proclaimed Special One to lose his job. However, according to ESPN, The Glazer family are still fully backing the 55-year-old.

The United owners believe that Mourinho can still restore an air of calmness around Old Trafford, despite being winless during the last four matches.

Cast your mind back to Louis van Gaal’s second season. United actually went five matches without winning during a horrendous period. At that point, the Dutchman was fully backed. He did manage to see out the season.

Obviously, Mourinho has way more Premier League managerial experience in comparison to the Iron Tulip, so I’d be surprised if the owners pulled the trigger at this point.

Then there is the fact that it’d cost them a pretty penny to relieve Mourinho of his duties. That’s a mid-season expensive that the Glazer family just wouldn’t want to outlay. Plus, you’d have to consider the point that a replacement would then demand money to spend on the playing squad. It certainly won’t come cheap…
