Man United preparing colossal bids for La Liga duo: report

Manchester United are apparently preparing a couple of colossal bids to sign both Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann from Real and Atletico Madrid respectively. That’s what The Sun write, as per the Manchester Evening News.

According to the aforementioned report, both attackers would cost a combined £136million to acquire, which, in all honesty, doesn’t seem too expensive in the modern-day market.

It seems clear to me that Jose Mourinho is still targeting that marquee signing in the hope of pushing the Red Devils over the top.

Gareth Bale has turned into somewhat of a problem for Real Madrid, largely due to the Welshman’s ongoing injury issues. The winger has missed 40 of Los Blancos’ last 60 games, and that lack of availability probably doesn’t justify the money.

Antoine Griezmann on the other hand… this boy knows how to play. He seems tailor-made to don out in Manchester United colours due to his explosive style of play, and in a side along Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku. Wow.

I’d be surprised to see any major transfer business conducted in January and in all liklihood, it’ll be next summer before these deals could potentially come to fruition. It does seem like we have an exciting year ahead though.
