Manchester United’s poor 2018 summer transfer window is well documented. I firmly believe it cost Jose Mourinho his job.
The Red Devils simply have to right those wrongs as soon as possible. It all starts with a blockbuster 2019 filled with spending. Where better to start than fixing our right-wing problem?
Now, according to The Telegraph, United are ready to battle Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of English prodigy, Jadon Sancho. Apparently, the 18-year-old superstar could be the first £100million Englishman and how fitting would it be if he returned to Manchester? Only this time moving to the red half of the city.
Sancho is loving life in the Bundesliga at the moment, scoring and assisting goals for fun while seriously improving upon his own personal stock. It just goes to show what regular playing time can do and it’s marvellous to see an Englishman flourishing abroad.
There’s no doubt that Sancho would be a marked upgrade on anything we have in that area of the field right now, and although paying £100million to sign him is a big chunk of the budget, I cannot help but feel it would be justified.
Image a front three of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Sancho? Not only would that be exciting for United fans, but also for Gareth Southgate, too…
