Marcus Rashford is in the form of his life. Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the young Mancunian is flourishing.
It’s hard to believe that he’s still only 21 with his best years well and truly ahead of him. Now, it looks as though his good work is set to be rewarded.
That’s according to the Daily Express, who in an exclusive, are claiming that United are ready to double Rashford’s wages – as his current contract expires at next season’s end.
Rashford currently earns £75,000-a-week, with United ready to offer him terms worth £150,000-a-week, potentially rising to £200,000 with add-ons and bonuses.
It’s worth it. This young lad lives and breathes United like every single one of us fans, and if anyone deserves a bumper new deal, it’s him. When you think about it, this wage pales in comparison to what Alexis Sanchez is earning and I know who I’d rather have at the club if given the opportunity to only keep one.
The best thing about Rashford is that he’s only going to get better and United simply must do whatever they can to ensure he remains a Red Devil for the foreseeable future.
Get the deal done as soon as possible and hopefully, we’ll see a photo of him putting pen to paper in the coming months.
