Man United send scouts to watch Moussa Dembele again: report

Manchester United have several problems running through their squad at the moment and it’s going to take Ole Gunnar Solskjaer time to iron out every single one.

Perhaps the biggest need, though, is signing a new striker in January. After letting Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave over the summer without replacement, goals have come at a premium…

One man the Old Trafford club are keeping an eye on is Lyon’s Moussa Dembele. Now, according to the Daily Mail, United had scouts watching the 23-year-old again on Sunday night.

Furthermore, United could have been handed a potential transfer boost, too, as the Frenchman was benched again by Lyon boss Sylvinho, who has frequently rotated his forwards this term.

Apparently, that brings a ‘risk’ to the table for Lyon ahead of the January transfer window – when no doubt United will make their move for a new striker in some way, shape or form.

I love Dembele. He’s a talented striker who has scored goals wherever he has been – gradually taking it up a notch with each passing career move.

If the Red Devils could lure him to Old Trafford in January it’d be a major coup. Dembele wouldn’t need long to cement his place in the starting line-up on a regular basis, though as is always the case, signing players in the mid-season window is extremely tough…
