Man United set to re-sign world-class attacker this summer, PSG also interested: report

We’ve been here before, but Manchester United will apparently re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer…

That’s according to Italian media outlet Libero, per The Daily Mirror. The report says that the man from Portugal is unsettled at Real Madrid, and is set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 33-year-old was absolutely sensational against Spain in the World Cup last Friday, scoring a stunning hat-trick – beating David de Gea no less.

I feel that this rumour will crop up every summer until Ronaldo retires. At times, you get the impression that United are used when its contract negotiation time, and it’s getting rather irritating.

In my opinion, there is absolutely no chance of this deal happening. His best years have been and gone, and I just don’t think that Madrid would be willing to sell him to another European rival. Plus, he’d cost an insane amount of money. If the deal did go through, United would probably have to stump up more than the £80million that they got when they sold him almost a decade ago now.

Plus, what happens if he picks up a serious injury? That could virtually end his career, the Red Devils would then be left to pick up the pieces…
