Manchester United Football Club have already signed two players this summer, and it seems as though they’re pushing hard to bring in a third.
That’s according to Paris United, translated by the Manchester Evening News. They say that United officials have met with Adrien Rabiot’s representatives about a possible transfer. However, our cross-town rivals City are also keen.
His agent is his mum, Veronique, and talks have been held, discussing a potential summer move to Manchester for the young Frenchman; who’s growing in frustration about a lack of support at Paris Saint-Germain.
In my opinion, it seems clear that midfield has been identified as the key area for Jose Mourinho. After adding Fred and getting Marouane Fellaini tied down to a new deal, things seem to be moving in the right direction – however, the work is not yet done.
Rabiot is young, hungry and ready to shine. Clearly he’s desperate to play that week-in-week-out football, and a move to Old Trafford could certainly do that for him; particularly with Nemanja Matic ageing, while we’re not really sure exactly what the aforementioned Fred is going to bring just yet.
The 23-year-old is set to meet with PSG boss Thomas Tuchel in the coming weeks, where a decision on his future is expected to be made.
