Manchester United’s Paul Pogba is back in light training, according to ESPN FC. Although, they also add that the 24-year-old isn’t expected back before the next international break, which begins on November 6th.
Jose Mourinho has been without his star midfielder since mid-September after he suffered a hamstring injury whilst playing against FC Basel.
Whilst it’s good to hear that he’s back in light training out in Miami, the fact that France boss, Didier Deschamps, isn’t expecting him back in time for the next international break is worrying.
Before then, we have to play Chelsea, Tottenham and, of course,t Liverpool; three key league fixtures where we could have done with his help.
The situation has been made tougher too, because United are also without Marouane Fellaini for the heavyweight clash at Anfield this weekend. It certainly leaves the manager lacking in depth in a key area of the field – and it couldn’t have come at a worse time.
I guess that all we can do is wait for our stars to heal up as best as possible and then get them back out on the field. I have faith in Mourinho to cook something up that’ll see us get through this tricky patch…
