Andreas Pereira will be a part of Manchester United’s senior squad this season, according to Duncan Castles in the Daily Record. The British journalist has always been so reliable when it comes to Red Devils news, and he claims that Jose Mourinho has been impressed with the attacking midfielder.
Pereira, 21, will be included in both Manchester United’s Premier League and Champions League squad lists for the 2017/18 campaign, which is a huge show of faith in the Brazil youth international.
After an excellent season out on loan with Granada, followed up by an impressive pre-season tour, Pereira more than deserves his opportunity to showcase his talents at Old Trafford for the first-team – now he must take those opportunities.
He has great potential to succeed here, and the fact that Pereira is so versatile can only play to his advantage. He offers Mourinho an option all across the front three spots in behind the striker, as well as being able to play that little bit deeper if needs be.
I just pray that he doesn’t have to settle for the odd appearance in a cup game here or there, instead I hope he gets a real opportunity in a meaningful Premier League game as that’s the only way he’ll continue to develop and grow.
