Man United stars have been put through their paces in training ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace.
With such a short turnaround between last season and this, the players have had hardly any break whatsoever. However, it’s time to get to work once again.
United’s first game of the 2020/21 term takes place at Old Trafford this Saturday against Crystal Palace. Make no mistake about it, this one won’t be easy.
Palace already have a game under their belts, and they won that one, too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see our opponents look sharper and feeling fitter than us in the early going.
That said, this United squad is jam-packed with quality. It’s full of players who are feeling confident after an excellent season. Ahead of the game, the official United Twitter account has given us some photos from inside training ahead of taking on Crystal Palace.
Check out the snaps here:
It’s fantastic to see Paul Pogba back in there after recovering from COVID-19, while Bruno Fernandes is now involved once again following the birth of his second child.
Then, you have the likes of Marcus Rashford, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay et al. Also, new signing Donny van de Beek was in amongst it – looking pretty smiley, too.
I think we all would have liked another signing or two through the doors before this game. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been possible. It’s up to Solskjaer to work with what he has – for now at least…
For me, I just can’t wait to see how far this squad can go. We now have the makings of a team who can win major honours, it just needs a few more little tweaks here and there.
It all starts against Palace this weekend and I’m now counting down the days!
