Manchester United’s summer transfer window was a forgettable one. The only real signing of intent made was a move for Fred. He’s not featured during the last two games.
However, it seems as though things could change in January. According to The Mirror, per the Manchester Evening News, Juventus are set to offer Paulo Dybala in an effort to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin; with the deal possibly being completed during the January transfer window.
Juve would want player-plus-cash for a man they value at £100million, while United would be looking to recoup as much of the £89million that they paid for the Frenchman.
It’s a shame, but at this point, I wouldn’t be all too gutted if Pogba left. Inconsistency has put a massive dampener on things since his return to Old Trafford. More often than not he’s failed to deliver in the vital moments.
As for Dybala, what a tasty little player he is. Sat in-behind the striker there aren’t many better. His creativity, class and ability to get on the score-sheet would be a huge asset. It’s a trade I’d certainly consider wholeheartedly. Who knows, it’d perhaps give Fred more of a freedom to go forward and attack.
