For Manchester United, the upcoming summer is absolutely pivotal. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply must be given money to spend and overhaul this squad.
The task is easier said than done, no doubt it’ll take more than one transfer window, but we have to start somewhere. Now, according to The Telegraph, a new name has been thrown into the ring; Everton’s Richarlison.
Apparently, Solskjaer wants five signings this summer, including a versatile forward. The 21-year-old Richarlison fits that bill perfectly, with the talented Brazilian being considered by United as part of a huge overhaul job that needs to begin immediately.
Richarlison’s versatility and ability to play all across the front line is key. Although the stumbling block could be the fact that Everton are under no pressure whatsoever to sell. He only arrived at Goodison Park just last summer and it’d take an astronomical fee to tempt The Toffees into selling their prized asset.
He’s young, hungry and always improving. Bringing in Richarlison would be a signal of intent in the regard that this club need to head in a new direction. It’d be an excellent start in terms of freshening up the squad, and if we can bring him in, there’s no doubt our squad will be looking all-the-better for it.
