Man United to lose key superstar unless they match contract demands: report

It feels like Manchester United and David de Gea have been in contract negotiations for a fair while. The Spaniard is yet to sign a new long-term deal, although the club did activate a twelve-month extension not too long ago.

Now, the Red Devils have been told that they must match Paris Saint-Germain’s £350,00-a-week contract offer to the Spaniard if they want him to stay at Old Trafford. That’s according to The Sun in an exclusive.

Apparently, the French champions are preparing a £60million bid for the 28-year-old, who United obviously do not want to leave.

At the end of the day, this club has been more than willing to throw big wages at players, so it’d absolutely baffle me if United aren’t ready to give De Gea big money as it’s the least he deserves.

It’d sum up this club over the last few years if they refuse to pay our best performing player this sort of money, and United would only have themselves to blame.

De Gea also wants to win trophies. That’d be almost a guarantee at Paris Saint-Germain whereas here at United it’s obviously much tougher.

I just hope United come to their senses and pay the man. It’s as simple as that.
