Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose is set for more talks with his current club, amid interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan, according to the Manchester Evening News.
It was just last month that the same newspaper were claiming that the Red Devils were monitoring Rose’s current situation at White Hart Lane.
The left-back has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the last couple of years, and has been included in the last two PFA Team of the Years – which tells you everything you need to know about his quality.
Rose, 27 would be a fantastic signing, but it’d probably be curtains for Luke Shaw at the Theatre of Dreams. Who, in my opinion, has spent far too long out injured in the recent past.
I’d love for us to sign the England international but I just don’t see Tottenham parting with another top full-back in this window, following Kyle Walker’s transfer to Manchester City.
It wouldn’t be the end of the world if we didn’t acquire him this year, however, as we have a lot of strength in depth as both Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind can do an adequate job out there.
