Manchester United’s summer transfer window was one to forget. It’s perhaps why the Red Devils are fighting it out for a spot in the top four rather than challenging for a title.
It seems as though the club have already identified their targets for the upcoming window, though. That’s if reports from the Daily Express are to be believed.
They say that United are ready to pay up to £50million to sign Fulham man, Ryan Sessegnon. The 18-year-old was part of the side that earned promotion to the Premier League just last season, putting in some outstanding performances along the way.
With the ability to either play as a left-back or on the left-wing, Sessegnon’s versatility must be an attractive proposition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although you’d imagine the Baby Faced Assassin probably sees him as a full-back first and foremost.
With Sessegnon having just eighteen months left on his current Fulham deal, this is the perfect opportunity for United to strike. Fulham will have to cash in or risk losing him for free in the summer of 2020, but you’d imagine the Red Devils won’t be the only ones in the hunt.
At just 18, the room for development and growth for Sessegnon is huge. Get him at United working with other top class talents and surely he’ll only get better.
