Manchester United now have a few months to rest up, restore confidence and rediscover that dressing room harmony before things all kick off again in August.
To keep us busy in the meantime, we have international football to look forward to. It’s always intriguing to see how United players get on while playing for their countries – and today, one young Red Devil has earned his first opportunity to don out for Wales.
Ryan Giggs named his squad for games against both Croatia and Hungary this morning, and to my surprise, Dylan Levitt’s name was on the list.
Levitt is a midfielder, who signed his first professional contract with United just last year. He’s got brilliant potential and it’s nice to see him get the chance to play for the first-team, after performing well for Wales’ youth sides over the last couple of years.
Levitt has been playing some super stuff for United’s U23s over the last season, while also featuring in some senior training sessions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – further highlighting his potential.
If Levitt gets on the field and performs well, we could well see the midfielder jet off on pre-season tour with the squad in July. Let’s be honest, it’s an area United are short in numbers in at the moment, and this could well be his opportunity to prove to the manager just how good he can be.
