Man Utd boosted in pursuit of Petr Cech

Manchester United have been given a huge boost, in the situation where David de Gea leaves for Real Madrid and the club have to find a replacement.

Chelsea will begrudgingly allow Petr Cech to join a rival Premier League club if he so desires, with Manchester United and Arsenal sniffing around for his signature. However no deal will take place until after June 12th when Cech is finished on international duty.

Obviously we’d all like De Gea to stay first and foremost, but with each passing day it looks less and less likely that he’ll be here next term.

For me Petr Cech has to be the number one choice in terms of a David de Gea replacement. He has that much-needed experience and physical presence in the Premier League that sits at the heart of any good back line, and best of all he’d be available on a free transfer.

Would Cech be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

  1. If we have to lose De Gea then absolutely sign Cech
Will be disappointed to lose De Gea especially after we supported him through his rough years but he’s been immense this year
