Man Utd ‘close’ to completing defensive signature

The winter transfer window is rapidly coming to an end, and many anticipated that Manchester United would have completed more transfer business than they have up until this point. With the sole senior signing so far being the ex-Spain number one Victor Valdes.

Today, Tutto Mercato Web say that Manchester United are closing in on their second signature, and this one could be a big one. Aleksandar Dragovic is ‘close’ to agreeing a £15million move from Dynamo Kyiv to United, despite interest from Italy.

The Austrian powerhouse will certainly provide that commanding centre-back that we have been lacking in recent years despite being just 23-years of age, and he’ll certainly help out our quest for a spot in the top four.

Personally I’d prefer someone a bit older and someone who’s more proven at the highest level, but Dragovic has to be better than what we already have and the help is desperately needed.

Would Dragovic be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
