Manchester United only have a top four finish to aim for this season now, after bowing out of the FA Cup in disappointing fashion on Monday. Louis van Gaal can now focus on his summer plans and transfer targets, and one of those is thought to be Burnley’s Danny Ings.
According to the Telegraph, Van Gaal is thinking about making a move for the young English striker who is out of contract in the summer.
Ings has been making excellent strides in the footballing world this season, as the 22-year old has found the back of the net 9 times in his 25 Premier League appearances.
Manchester United have a complete lack of pace up front, and thats something Danny Ings could certainly provide. When Burnley came to Old Trafford, Ings was at the heart of everything good for the Clarets, and at just 22 he still has an awful lot of developing to do.
This is a signing thats definitely worth the risk on a free transfer. He won’t command huge wages, and he can score goals in this country. With better players around him he could flourish and hopefully grab himself even more goals.
Should United leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
