Manchester United could well have another gem on their hands, in the form of Dutchman Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The 17-year old only joined United back in September, but he has been making strides amongst the footballing world at rapid pace.
He played in United’s FA Youth Cup victory over Hull City last night, and put in an absolutely outstanding performance. He was at the heart of everything good for the young reds, and although its hard to judge him based on a performance at youth level, he looks like a real talent.
Comparisons to Paul Pogba have already been made in his short career at the club, and last nights performance was certainly one that caught the eye. He kept the ball moving, didn’t shirk a tackle and played some superb passes which led to him grabbing two excellent assists.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the young man playing his football with the U21s rather than with the U18s in the not too distant future, he looks so comfortable at this level and the step up will only further his ability.
