Man Utd ‘expect’ to complete £18.5m defensive transfer

Manchester United are looking to bolster their defensive options considerably in the summer, and according to The Metro, Louis van Gaal is eyeing a deal for the Zenit centre-back, Ezequiel Garay. The big Argentine is growing frustrated with life in Russia, and is eyeing a move away from the club.

The Metro go on to say that United are ‘confident’ of completing a deal for the experienced 28-year old, who’d certainly come in and be an ideal signing for the club.

He has experience, he’s tall, a threat in the air and he even chips in with the odd goal as well. The most important thing though, is his ability to talk younger players through games, and he’d be the senior figure who’ll come in and contral that back line – thats exactly what Manchester United need.

Would Garay be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
