Manchester United fans are growing increasingly frustrated regarding the David de Gea situation, as the 24-year old shot-stopper still hasn’t penned a new deal at the club. According to the Sunday Mirror, United are making contingency plans, and they have a replacement in mind.
Louis van Gaal will turn to Hugo Lloris if David de Gea does indeed switch to the Spanish capital, and I personally cannot think of a better replacement. The French keeper is proven in the physical conditions of the Premier League, and he single-handedly earned his side a point against United earlier on in the season.
All good keepers win their team points, and the 28-year old is more than capable of coming to Old Trafford and doing that for us. My only concern would be the transfer fee. We all know Daniel Levy gets every penny out of a buying club when they come in for Spurs players, and no doubt he’ll try and do the same here.
