Manchester United are set to be given a huge injury boost ahead of the Premier League run-in, starting with the visit of Aston Villa on Saturday. According to The Sun, Robin van Persie will be a part of the squad to face a reinvigorated Villa side under Tim Sherwood.
It is thought that the 31-year old won’t be fit enough to start the game, and its much more realistic that he will begin this one on the bench.
Although Van Persie has turned into somewhat the forgotten man in recent weeks due to Wayne Rooney’s new lone striker role, it’ll be great to have him back involved.
Hopefully Van Gaal won’t rush him back into things though, its not as if he needs to either, with the team playing well of late.
Perhaps the most concerned party in all of this will be Radamel Falcao – The Columbian has been limited to minutes from off the bench over the past month or so, but with the Flying Dutchman coming back into the fold he’ll be lucky to even get that.
